Brenna West, Environmental Biologist
Brenna joined Ecosphere in June 2005 and serves as a coordinator for oil and gas projects in both the Farmington and Durango offices. She is experienced in ESA, NEPA, and CWA compliance and has developed expertise in small mammal trapping, prairie dog translocation, Mexican spotted owl surveys, range inventory data collection in northwestern New Mexico and northern Arizona, wetland delineation, and TES surveys. Additionally, she has conducted water sampling projects throughout northwest New Mexico in association with a seismographic study of the area and other oil and gas related activities. Brenna is certified to conduct Mexican spotted owl surveys and has attended wetland delineation and Biological Assessment training seminars. Prior to joining Ecosphere, she worked for Wright Water Engineers as a water resources technician, focusing on water rights and water quality regulations (including Section 303 of the CWA). In 2003, Brenna worked as a research assistant under a grant for a study of the effects of fire and drought in southwestern Colorado. Brenna graduated from Fort Lewis College in 2004 with a B.S. in environmental biology.
