John Dodge, Biologist/Botanist

John Dodge joined Ecosphere in 1998 and brings more than a decade of experience to the firm. In past nine years with Ecosphere, he has worked on projects in New Mexico, Arizona, western Colorado, and western Texas. He has participated as a team member and leader for numerous TES field surveys and sensitive habitat evaluations, and for various reconnaissance projects involving identification of flora and fauna species in the Colorado Plateau of the San Juan Basin, southern Great Basin Desert, northern Sonoran Desert, northern Chihuahuan Desert, and eastern Mojave Desert. He has also conducted surveys and habitat evaluations for most of the New Mexico listed species and species of concern, and prepared numerous reports, biological evaluations and assessments under NEPA. Other experience includes conducting baseline vegetation sampling, invasive and noxious weed surveys, and QA/QC for various clients (oil/gas, mining, non-fuel minerals, and public utilities). Prior to joining Ecosphere, John worked as an environmental technician at Buchanan Consultation Inc. and for BHP Minerals Inc. as an summer intern. He received his B.S. in environmental biology from Fort Lewis College.
