Karen Caddis, Biologist
Karen Caddis joined Ecosphere in 2007 as a senior project manager. She is a trained biologist/botanist, wetlands delineator, NEPA specialist and project manger with more than 20 years of experience. She also possesses expertise in special status wildlife and plant species surveys, and resource development plan preparation and review. Prior to joining Ecosphere, she served as a project manager and field biologist/environmental coordinator for ENSR, a large environmental consulting firm, where she participated in a number of extractive industry projects (many of them for mining developments). She has successfully completed U.S. Army Corp of Engineers Wetland Delineation Training and Hazwoper Health and Safety Training. Additionally, she is certified to conduct surveys for Ute Ladies'-Tresses Orchid, Desert Tortoise, Spotted Owl, and Black-Footed Ferret. Karen holds a B.S from Colorado State University in natural resource management/conservation education (with secondary science teaching certification) and a B.S. in physical geography and journalism from Eastern Washington University.
