Sandy Friedley, Botanist

Sandy Friedley joined Ecosphere in 1999 and serves as the firm's lead botanist/biologist, preparing environmental assessments and numerous biological assessment/evaluations for projects throughout the Four Corners area. Sandy's skills include conducting baseline botanical inventories, species-specific surveys, wetland delineations, due diligence environmental site assessments, and regulatory compliance and permitting for local, state, tribal, and federal agencies, as well as private industry. She possesses more than 16 years of botanical and biological consulting experience, working both in the private sector and as a federal employee with the USFS San Juan National Forest and the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA). She holds a M.A. in environmental biology from Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado, and a B.A. in environmental biology from the University of Colorado in Boulder, Colorado.
