Ecosphere was contracted to provide biological expertise in developing a conceptual plan for the proposed Twin Buttes—a large-scale development west of the City of Durango that included provisions for wildlife and the natural environment. Ecosphere developed a wildlife management plan, trails management plan, forestry plan, and a redevelopment plan for the proposed development in support of an annexation application. The redevelopment plan addressed all known existing environmental conditions associated with the property and made recommendations for addressing the conditions in compliance with local, state, and federal laws in a manner that is protective of human health and the natural environment.
