Rangeland Vegetation Studies—Ecosphere has a proven record of accomplishment working with the BLM Navajo Agency rangeland staff vegetation inventory projects. The key elements of our success have been consistent and clear communication with the BIA contract managers, adaptation to unforeseen obstacles, utilization of experience gained in previous projects as well as current data and studies for resource descriptions, expert analysis, and technical writing.
Ecosphere facilitated the update of the Natural Resource Management Plan for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe including planned development for forest, range, water, and agricultural resources in the context of expanding energy resource development on the reservation. The reservation also has the challenge of “checker-board” land ownership with private lands interspersed with tribal land and resource ownership.
