Ecosphere has conducted wetland mitigation site development and monitoring for several clients including New Mexico Department of Transportation, a coal mine, and renewable energy companies. This site is located in eastern New Mexico and Ecosphere has conducted the last two years of monitoring including planting over a 100 willow poles.
Ecosphere has provided environmental support for permitting of numerous projects for La Plata County. Services provided included wetland delineations, mitigation planning, construction supervision, biological assessments, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers permitting and notification under a Wetland Services On-Call Contract (2009 to present).

Overview of a potential wetland mitigation site for Paseo del Norte Road Improvement project. Ecosphere is in the process of evaluating the feasibility of a site on the Rio Grande for wetland mitigation development.
Ecosphere worked with Aquahab, Inc. to provide support for the enlargement of Pagosa Area Water and Sanitation District’s Stevens Reservoir. Scope of work included wetland delineation, amphibian report and monitoring, Individual Permit application, preparation of a Wetland Mitigation Plan, success creation of 51.3 acres of wetlands, and 3 years of mitigation monitoring. Ecosphere prepared an Amphibian Mitigation Plan to mitigate impacts potentially occurring as a result of the construction of the Steven’s Dam Enlargement project.
