Wildlife Management Planning
Ecosphere, as a subcontractor to Felsburg, Holt & Ullevig, and in close cooperation with Western Environmental Law Center, provided the biological and GIS support for developing a set of Guidelines for Wildlife and Roads. The intent of the project was to create safer roads for both humans and wildlife, as well as increase the ability of wildlife to move safely across roadways to meet their habitat needs. Additionally, Ecosphere led public participation efforts to engage the community-comprised primarily of a survey to gather data and assess the project approach. A wide range of stakeholders were targeted, from advocacy groups to industry representatives. Ecosphere developed the survey instrument and provided analysis of results.
